Chamberlains is a Chartered Accountants and Chartered Tax Advisors firm based in London providing high quality professional services to individuals and all types of entities including corporates and trusts.

Having gained significant experience in tax at KPMG earlier on in his career, Ramesh Shah set up Chamberlains as a Tax Advisory Practice in 1984.  In 1995, Mita Shah who was a tax specialist with Grant Thornton joined the firm.  Subsequently, in 2012, Shammir Shah joined the firm to strengthen the accounting and auditing practice. In 2024, Vaishaly Mehta was promoted to a partner to strengthen the tax team.  In March 2025, Ramesh Shah resigned as a partner and is a consultant to the firm.

The initial aim was to provide tax specialist services to small professional organisations i.e., accountants, solicitors, investments advisors, offshore trust companies etc., who were not large enough to have their own in-house tax experts.  Over time the firm has gained reputation and expanded significantly and advises high net worth individuals and owner managed businesses.

The firm has developed significantly in other areas and provides all other services to include accounting, auditing, company secretarial and tax compliance services.

The firm acts for numerous families having built relationships spanning a number of years which involves advising several generations of these families on all aspects of taxation and other matters including managing family relationships.

The firm’s core strength is to understand the specific clients’ requirements and to communicate complex tax laws to find personalised solutions.

Following the landmark event of ICAEW becoming an approved regulator and licensing authority for probate work, the firm has been accredited to provide probate services.
